Verbal Poo: A Social Platform for Humor and Conversation

A community starts with something worth responding to. Verbal Poo puts public conversation at the front of the experience, with a playful identity and room for short observations as well as longer commentary. The platform is currently in beta.

RickyTechs worked on the development of Verbal Poo. It belongs in our portfolio of social and community software projects, alongside the platform’s own founder and team credits.

Explore the conversation before creating an account

Public posts and the Explore page give visitors a way to see the tone of the community. People can decide whether the conversations interest them before signing up to take part. That makes the content itself the introduction to the product.

Different spaces for different kinds of participation

The platform brings together short posts, comments, reactions, and longer Poo News reads. Its blog explains how the community works. Humor and candid conversation still sit within published community guidelines, including rules against harassment and hateful content.

What this project represents in our work

Social software needs a clear journey from reading to participating. For a new community product, useful questions include whether a visitor can find a relevant thread, understand what is public, and discover the participation rules. These are the product questions we bring to community software work; the profile here describes Verbal Poo’s public experience rather than making claims about private systems or audience growth.

Find a conversation worth joining
